I completely get why Mavs fans can't really enjoy AD and want to send him away to blow it up. Besides that though, it still is crazy the reaction around him. Now that Nico is gone, people are just transferring that hate to AD. I don't think I've ever seen a player that so widely is cheered upon to get injured lmao, any thread that implies he might have an injury gets thousands of upvotes. Most of those aren't from Mavs fans too. And I get the principle that its from Nico having injury concerns about Luka, but it's still cheering on an injury. AD can be completely healthy and play like a top 15 player, and the trade will still be incredibly stupid for the Mavs. And Nico is gone regardless so it can't blow up any more for him.

People forget that AD’s escape to the Lakers was earned too… Bro went through hell in New Orleans and only managed to make the playoffs twice, both times getting sent home early by the Warriors, including a first round sweep. Getting sent back to a nightmare team in what’s likely the last stage of his career is awful.
